A Thoughtful and Supportive Approach to Cello Study

I came to music through my local school orchestra program, without consistent private lessons until high school—an experience that shaped both my path and my teaching. I know how confusing private music study can be at first, and I work closely with students and families to make learning cello clear, rewarding, and personally meaningful.

I focus on helping each student understand why they want to play cello and build lessons around their goals. My teaching blends Suzuki and Music Learning Theory approaches, with an emphasis on strong technique, musical fluency, and joyful expression.
